“Best Company for Working Mothers” Award

June 22nd, 2010

In 2010, after competing in a nation-wide contest, Argos Translations was again recognized by Rzeczpospolita newspaper as “The Best Company for Working Mothers” in Poland. Argos is a two time recipient of the award, having also won in 2007 for being a European translation company that tries its best to offer a friendly and supportive working environment for working mothers.

In an effort for any company (language translation companies as well) to apply for the ranking, they must pass a rigorous application process that included both surveys and interviews with female employees. After gaining strong marks, our professional translation company along with a handful of other businesses reached the final stage of the contest and was awarded the title of the “Best Company for Working Mothers”.

Fifty percent of Argos Translations management and more than half of our language translation company’s full-time staff are females. Our language translation company works hard to offer wide benefits (including an extended leave of absence period with guaranteed job security), and a supportive environment for working mothers.

Out of the whole Polish language translation services industry and all language translation companies in Poland, Argos was the only two-time recipient of this award.

To learn more about Argos Translations, its corporate culture, our language translation services, dedication to employees and all current job openings, as well as to obtain results and information about the contest, please visit our translation company Employment Section or contact us via email at: info@argostranslations.com

Argos Translations at Localization World Berlin 2010

Argos Translations; a European translation company, will attend the premiere language translation services and localization services conference “Localization World” held from June 7 - 9th in Berlin.

Argos has attended virtually all previous Localization World events held throughout the world. We invite anyone interested in the language translation services industry to attend this event and meet with our representatives. Localization World connects clients with language translation services vendors from around the globe, offering seminars, trainings and a multi-day conference. During the conference, there are multiple opportunities to meet with attending translation companies or visit the exhibitors.

Most professional translation companies make the effort to participate and dedicate a significant portion of their time during the conference to showcase new technologies, tools or free translation services.

This year, Argos Translations will attend the event starting with the pre-conference day reserved for meetings and networking, all the way to the closing day’s dinner. We invite all our current clients and those interested in our translation company and our language translation services, to let us know if you’ll also be attending.

Come and join us and other language translation companies during 2010 Localization World Berlin.

Translators Without Borders helps Haiti

Translators Without Borders helps Haiti

Argos Translations; a European translation company, teamed up with Translators Without Borders in an effort to provide free translation services during the relief effort of the Haiti disaster.

On January 12th, Haiti was struck by a catastrophic magnitude 7 earthquake that left millions homeless and the country devastated. The Haitian government sent out a call for medical, financial, engineering and even linguistic support in dealing with the aftereffects of the earthquake. Because Haiti is a relatively small island whose official language is Haitian Creole and French, language translation services are vital in helping the French speaking nation, its regional governments and foreign disaster relief organizations communicate. In order to limit the effects that language barriers can cause, including organizational and logistics problems, delays in medical aid transport and problems with managing international emergency task teams, Translators Without Borders have offered free translation services assistance to Haiti.

Argos Translations became one of many translation companies to volunteer and take part in this relief effort by offering free translation services that make it easier for people around the world to help the people of Haiti. We would like to encourage any translation company, other translators and language service providers to help with this effort. Any professional translation company can assist by providing free document translation, language translation or localization services. If you are a language translation company willing to help, you can do so by visiting Translators Without Borders and signing up.

Argos Translations again in Forbes Ranking

Argos Translations again in Forbes Ranking

In 2010, for the second year in a row Argos; a European translation company, ranked in the annual “Diamonds of Forbes Magazine” corporate lineup. The “Diamonds…” ranking showcases European companies that experienced the most dynamic net worth growth in the last 5 years. Argos was the only European language translation company that managed to repeat this feat and rank for two consecutive years.

The listing is based on Forbes and Dun & Bradstreet’s evaluation of each company’s financial position including annual revenues, net profits, assets, investments and market share growth. The ranking also considers the extent to which businesses increased trade to newly opened international markets and whether they capitalized on EU funding. All these parameters are then combined to determine to what degree they elevated our professional translation company’s net worth. Argos Translations earned its position in this prestigious lineup by concentrating on its core services (incl. document translation, polish translation services and localization services), innovation and cost control.
