The Origin
Argos Translations was founded in 1996 by Kevin Fountoukidis and has rapidly grown in size and experience ever since.
Argos initially served as a translation company that provided Eastern European and international business communities with high-quality translations. A few years later, in response to the international software industry’s demand for high-quality localization services, Argos expanded its service offerings to include the localization of: software and websites, ERP/CRM systems, multimedia products, medical equipment and e-learning courses.
The rapid growth of Polish-based IT companies along with an increase in distributors of foreign software to the Eastern European markets resulted in an overwhelming need for more wide-ranging localization services. That in turn, had prompted Argos to include further services such as TM (Translation Memory) consultancy, software engineering services and TM training.
Argos’ experience along with the range of services it offered continued to grow. As a result Argos quickly became one of the preeminent translation companies in Central and Eastern Europe.
Eventually Argos began to offer industry specific translation and localization solutions for a variety of global corporations, ranging from IT juggernauts like Hewlett-Packard, to some of the Automotive industry’s highest quality car makers such as BMW.
Big or small… simply put, we cater to all.
