Argos Translations completes regular marketing translation projects for many healthcare, beauty and cosmetics brands. One such marketing translation revolved around the adaptation of a product brochure for a dark bronzing lotion into Polish, Hungarian, Latvian, Estonian, Czech, Russian, Italian, Romanian, Slovene and Slovakian. The project consisted also of review along with Quality Assurance over all of the work performed. The additional QA check was performed in order to ensure flawless translations of all adapted content.
In an effort to complete all marketing translation tasks on time, Argos assigned a team of 7 translators and 3 Quality Assurance specialists to work on this 825 word project consisting of 10 languages. The client submitted to Argos a Translation Memory database to use as reference, instructing us not to translate the product line names.
Unfortunately, the initial TM had nearly no matches and Argos utilized our Localization department to modify the files and update the TM. Argos then utilized Translation Memory, while marking product names, which remained in English, in the source files for our client’s consideration. Having been delivered additional and previously translated files for reference, Argos created a glossary to speed up and assist all translation work.
All of this was completed in under 24 hours, as the project was delivered to Argos on a very tight schedule with a tight deadline. Nevertheless, Argos completed all work on time, sending flawless and complete translation batches back to our, highly satisfied, client.
