Argos Translations was commissioned to complete a website text translation for an interactive web campaign run by one of the largest upscale fragrance and perfume boutiques. The cosmetics translation project included content translation across: Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Ukrainian and required copywriting skills as well as the ability to insert translated texts back into our client’s online CMS (content management system).
Because of the need to adapt the website translation into so many languages, Argos assigned two translators per language to work on this project. Also, in an effort to streamline the process of inserting translated content back into the CMS, Argos utilized assistance of our internal localization department. Our L10n department handled file conversions from xls to ttx formats, while working on xls format files in an effort to build a suitable Translation Memory database for each language.
Overall, the project was split into multiple small batches delivered to Argos on a continual basis. Each batch took us 3-5 days to complete and send back to the client. Once the whole project was finalized, our client was able to successfully launch a new web campaign across 13 languages.
