Localization Workflow

Start » Localization Services » Localization Workflow

At Argos Translations every localization project follows a pre-determined, established and modeled project path. Due to Argos Translations experience we have developed a project workflow that includes all the necessary steps needed to ensure that the localization process is handled accurately, that quality is maintained throughout and that every localization project is handled with utmost care.

While the localization workflow shown below includes various steps, Argos Translations understands that some clients require an inclusion of wholly new stages, or simply more focus on some portions while less focus on others. As such, Argos Translations makes sure to communicate with each client prior to project launch, in order to adapt the workflow to suit the demands of our clients.

Step 1

Client submits documents to Argos with instructions and PO. Typically via email/ftp

Step 2

Sizing and creation of a project plan: a precise count of all language-dependent components, which is used as the basis for preparing a project plan. All the steps necessary to deliver a fully localized application are planned in advance.

Step 3

Preparation of reference material: preparation of reference materials that will be used during the translation.

Step 4

Extraction of translatable strings from software: text that should not be translated is protected from any changes.

Step 5

Software text translation: translation of software application resources such as dialog boxes, menus, and strings (error messages, status messages and help text).

Step 6

Linguistic testing: linguistic validation of the translated text.

Step 7

Functionality testing: testing the functionality of the application and technical tests of the application are carried out.

Step 8

Delivery:The localized software version is delivered to the client.

If there are any comments from the client, they are adopted in the application before the updated version is sent back to the client.

With Argos Translations localization services you can rest assured that your project is completed by experienced specialists who follow all requirements and outlines.
