Project Management
Argos offers Project Management services as part of all of its service offerings for free. Project Management is composed of all of the tasks required to complete a given project including confirming that the translations are error–free and that the translated documents are delivered on time. Project Management involves assigning the tasks required by each member of the translation team to complete a given project. This also involves the coordination of:

Project Management is one of the most intricate roles involved in the translation process as a whole. PM’s must coordinate all of the aspects of the assignment beginning with ensuring that Argos understands all of the clients’ requirements and expectations. The PM handles everything from collecting necessary information and documents required for translation, all the way to connecting the appropriate teams of translators to work on a given job.
Project managers at Argos have to be communicative and well organized. All of Argos’ Project Managers are fluent in written and spoken English (we also have native–speaking German and English Project Managers working in–house). Argos PMs need to know how to manage communication between clients including the coordination of various instructions from clients that need to be clarified and then passed on to the Argos team. That is why the two most important skills that an Argos Project Manager must possess are: linguistic skills and effective and clear communication skills. Additionally, Argos PMs are able to work under pressure and can smoothly handle problems that arise during a given project. They are flexible in their working hours (willing to work long hours or weekends) and are totally devoted to providing our clients with the best possible service.
Translators
All Argos translators must pass rigorous testing procedures before they can join the Argos team. We only choose those who score well above average on our stringent exams. Generally we require two years practical experience as a translator unless we identify that a young translator is exceptionally talented. When translators start working with Argos, they receive a Translator’s Guide and sign a declaration that they will follow Argos procedures and checklists. Each time a new project is sent to a translator, they also receive a checklist that must be completed before the translation is sent back to us (including a spell check, completion check, and grammar check). Our translators’ progress is monitored and evaluated on a regular basis.
Proofreaders, Editors, QA
These linguists have to undergo the same tests as translators. The difference is that these linguists have at least 5 years of experience. Often our senior linguists bring real–world experience to the job, which is very important for the end–user. These employees are highly detail–oriented and meticulous. Our linguists are crucial to our QA process. It is their experience that makes the difference in the linguistic quality of our projects. Since every word translated at Argos goes through one of our in–house linguists, we rely on them to keep our clients happy with the quality of our translations.
